Yes, I am sure. I know there are many domains in which AI can outperform any human. The facet of copyediting, however, that requires evaluating emotional nuances in message and word choice, or demands that you try to shred the sensibility of a syntactically-flawless argument, is not machine-doable; this requires examining a piece of writing against the larger context of the human experience, and a computer cannot do this — because it has not lived a human experience.

It's hard for people who haven't done this job to recognize that, which is understandable... but it's no less true that AI falls short here. Copyediting is WAY more than proofreading, and outsiders to the field, who've never worked with a copyeditor, have absolutely no concept of this.
