Yale, I'm very happy to hear that you found self-acceptance too. I truly wish I'd grown up knowing more about my Jewish roots; my grandma only learned about her paternal ancestry at age 90. (After I took the DNA test, she tested to confirm.) All I know is that our ancestors arrived in Philly from Ukraine around 1900; the European records are hard to trace (for sadly obvious reasons), so I may never know anything about that branch of our tree besides simply that it exists, and what our surname was.
