Very important warning I'd like to add, since your story contains dangerous advice:
Flax (which is very popular in Germany, where I live) is indeed super-healthy, but it's so flammable that it sometimes spontaneously combusts, even just when used as an all-natural furniture polish. It's also just generally unstable and can form unhealthy compounds when heated.
In food prep, therefore, it's used as a a dressing, drizzled "cold" (room temp) over things like salads, potatoes, etc.
... but it should not be put to heat.
