The thing is... some women want to feel needed too.... but wanting to feel "needed" is actually a classic sign of codependency. (No matter which gender holds the attitude.) Even though some people romanticize being needed, it's actually a symptom of a problem. Thus, for people who feel this way, it's more important that they solve it with a therapist, rather than expecting a partner to coddle and feed the emotion.
BUT! — that's okay because the good thing is: there is tons of room for healthy, happy, fulfilling, committed romantic connection outside of "need." :)
