Thanks for sharing your experience, Pua! That’s awesome that you find yourself at a place in life where you’re content. You say “everything…is how (you) want it to be” aside from relationships — do you mean you also feel fulfilled? Or do you feel unfulfilled?
And on some level, I can still understand people who wish they had a partner. After all, humans are social animals; deep connection is a natural instinct. Then there are individual, personal qualities: for instance, I’m a very nurturing, affectionate person, and those kinds of qualities crave their outlet. There’s also the “sharing” aspect of relationships — I’d love to have a partner in my adventures (and not just “a” partner — The Partner, so to speak) because I feel like joy is so much lovelier shared.
That said, that’s where I draw my own personal distinction between “I’m unfulfilled” and “I wish I had someone to share with.” For me, those sentiments are somewhat different. But that’s just me. I’m always interested in hearing how other people encounter love. :)
