Thank you so much for your sweet words, Therese. What you said about love reminded me of that famous quote (often attributed to Rumi, though I’m not 100% sure if that’s a confirmed fact): “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” I think this is true of all of us, and I, too, have certainly seen myself shrink away from love or kindness out of a sense of irrelevant fear. (I say “irrelevant” rather than “unfounded,” because most of our fears involving love are a self-defense mechanism inspired by some previous hurt . With a lot of mindfulness, we can consciously choose to look with a fresh perspective and respond differently — but it can be a real challenge!)

I have browsed some of your writing also, and I especially enjoyed the piece about clouds! I love reading people’s reflections on the magic of the everyday, and the way you were able to “paint” so many different types of beauty — out of something as simple as clouds!—was truly incredible. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to more of your work as well. :)
