Thank you for your thoughts here, schrage. I think the bigger issue is an economic problem. I might be mistaken, but I believe that many people would value excellence; the problem is, when you don't understand what it entails, you don't even realize when you're not getting it.... and if it becomes too costly to achieve, that's when people decide just to give up and stick with "good enough." If we had a stronger economy, basically, I do think people would care about quality more than they currently do... but that's a big hypothetical, so perhaps we'll never know. ;)
