Thank you for this. :) "Popular as hell" wouldn't necessarily apply, since I tend to be a bit of an introvert, but I guess I'm lucky that I do tend to be a person that people warm up to very quickly. I guess we might never know exactly what happened in each one of these (very different) scenarios to freak the man out, but I'm happy to say it hasn't seemed to happen with any new guys in probably about 10 years. :) (Still, it's left me with the tendency to default to assuming that any given man can't really be interested, lol.)
