Seems you’re looking for reasons to be upset, whatever word you want to put to that feeling. I really can’t help you there. Your point in asking about appearance/clothes is unclear, but I'll answer you before I make one final attempt at explaining the point of the story:
To be honest, I was never a person much interested in fashion (too working-class to be able to cultivate a fashion hobby myself...), but to the extent that I’ve judged people for what they wear, I’ll admit to having long been intimidated by people who dress well. Making fun of them for it, though? No. And did I ever comment negatively on someone’s appearance? I’m sure I must've back when I was in grade school. Unlike Leo, however, I (and many people) only ever would’ve done so privately, around a person whom I trusted not to repeat the observation (e.g., telling a parent) — i.e., never in any such way as could have humiliated the person. Leo, by contrast, didn’t care whether he was publicly humiliating a group of innocent women that he didn’t even know, as evidenced by what he said, how loudly he said it, and how close to them he was when he did so. Trying to liken what he did to anyone who's ever privately remarked on someone else's apparel is like comparing apples to fruit flies. My story very clearly stated what precisely was problematic about his remarks, and it's twisted for anyone to try to defend what he did. I'm not sure why you seem so invested in doing so. I can’t do much more to help you understand this, so hopefully that explanation helps. By this point, I've spent as much time on trying to help you as I can, so I'll have to say "cheers" here and wish you well. :)
