Respectfully, I don't get the sense that the author is annoyed. She didn't say she lost interest in these guys for recommending hiking. And she took "hiking" down from her profile simply to save everyone the time-wasting confusion — not because she was angry. All I really get from this piece is that she wants to help men understand why plenty of women — who are interested in them — will reject this kind of first-date offer; she's trying to spare these men from being needlessly rejected the first time they suggest a date.

No drama there...
