Oh, HELL yes to all of this. This is so timely for me too; I just "dared" to write a story recently about how men should behave when a woman tells them that their bro is predatory. As I wrote, I kept thinking, "But I should probably add somewhere in here that women can be predatory too..." But then the wiser part of me kept thinking, "Yes, but that's not the point; this is a story about a man whose male friend was predatory towards me, a woman, and I am telling it from that perspective. Any gender can resonate with it if they choose to. But I don't have to litter my story with gender disclaimers." I really appreciate that you worded your thoughts on this beautifully. Thank you.
