Oh, for sure, that guy taught me the value of a prenup. But it was still scary, and my friend had a point: he was likely to keep incurring huge debts even after marriage, and it can be a lot harder to keep yourself legally separate from that. I wish there were an easier way to protect people from each other’s spending habits.
