Loved your no-nonsense approach, Anna. Years ago, I ran a blog that somehow organically morphed into a twin-flame blog. I'd written some musings once about the TF idea, and suddenly, I had an ever-growing list of people asking me about divine love. I appreciated the opportunity to reflect and philosophize, but there was so much toxic misinformation out there about relationships under the guise of "twin flame" info, and it was heartbreaking every time another story came to my inbox that sounded like a deeply unhealthy dynamic. Trying to talk compassionate sense into these kinds of situations without simultaneously utterly invalidating people's own personal spiritualities or instincts was a difficult balance to strike. (I can only hope that I made a positive, empowering, illuminating difference.)
I was fortunate to stumble into the TF concept in a way that didn't involve abuse, or a chaser, or a perpetual on-and-off-again drama, or even one single little dried-coconut *shred* of codependency. But I think a LOT of people stumble upon the TF idea with very little context save for their own previous pain, such that they romanticize the TF idea, and then they end up projecting and attaching that label to whichever difficult relationship they hope will work out — which seems to be a road of heartache much of the time.
Who's to say whether twin flames are real.... but I do lean toward believing that some soul connections really are in a category all their own, characterized by a magic that we can never even fathom until it's upon us. I have seen things so far beyond ANY kind of odds that they blew my number-crunching, scientific-method, Ph.D.-student mind — AND the minds of my number-crunching, scientific-method, Ph.D.-student friends. But the core of the magic is simply the fact that the person somehow reminds you of your OWN divinity. They spark something that reminds you of who you truly are, the nature of reality, the oneness and the fabric of the universe. There's a sense that, for the first time, nothing whatsoever is "missing." And there is a peace unlike anything you've ever known: the peace of divine love. And once you've tasted that feeling, no roads forward are the same — and that is a wondrous thing.
... whether that person is a twin flame or not. ;)
Thank you for sharing the wisdom you collected on your path, Anna.
