Lol at the note at the end. Editors do focus on those higher-level tasks. The problem is not that we aren't doing our jobs. It's that would-be clients who are ignorant of what editors actually do, NEED editors desperately, but they use AI tools instead because they don't realize this or realize how AI falls short. I'd be curious to know what sorts of skills ChatGPT believes will still be relevant in the next few years and worth investing in, what with all the jobs AI is killing. ;)
