Jessica, thank you so much. For what it’s worth, I wrote this almost two years ago by now…. and I still think about this man and wonder when I’ll ever feel a connection like that again. Nothing and no one has replaced him in my heart. But I guess I’m used to that by now. ;)

On another note, funny enough, you reached out at an interesting time: a week or so ago, I was at the bookstore, and a stranger more or less spontaneously recommended a book to me called One Day in December. I checked out the synopsis, and turns out that it’s about a woman who spends a decade pining for a guy. I just finished reading it two days ago. The story was beautiful. Maybe I was meant to pass that book recommendation on to you?
