I'm not in the same industry, but I've gotten all manner of (shitty) advice from men about how I could grow my editing business (I don't want to) and even on how to write a novel (when they aren't any kind of writer at all). Alternatively, how the world of work is nonsense, and I should just invest in crypto.

I really don't understand it, but it's exhausting af to — as you put it — explain for the 5th time why the advice won't work.
