I'm glad you've found a series of new careers that supported you well, John. I've tried at least seven different lines of work since I entered adulthood (service jobs, teaching, research, childcare, copyediting, writing, spirituality work), and it's pretty exhausting to have done all of this before age 40, with no real job stability in sight. At this point, I frankly have no idea what to try next — apart from maybe online sex work? (Which is also being encroached upon by AI and bots, btw.)
