I enjoyed your anecdotes, Tim. Thank you for writing about this. I'm also someone who suddenly began experiencing an onslaught of vivid past-life impressions and memories in adulthood, rather than in childhood.

In childhood, in retrospect, I can see some "hints" of the past life stirring, but it wasn't until adulthood that the details really came into focus and the karma came up for active awareness and healing. I suppose this is because the subject matter of the past life was the sort of thing a child wouldn't understand or be served by seeing; the lifetime was during WWII, and I was a young woman involved in some difficult, painful, decidedly "adult" situations in my fight for survival (and my Resistance efforts). On the "plus" side, I met a lot of the same main characters in my current life that I knew back then — including people whose former selves caused my own former self a lot of pain — and they are entirely different (i.e., much kinder) in this go-around. Their love and compassion in my current life have done so much to help me heal and to awaken me to uplifting spiritual insights I never would've imagined otherwise. And while my current life is (thankfully!) nowhere near as bad as a WWII scenario, I've seen some ways that different life circumstances from my current incarnation were "continuations" of some lessons that my soul was attempting to master during the war.

Anyway, all of this to say, I think every one of us is living this sort of thing: we are all here working on our own and our soulmates' healing, even if we don't know what we're healing, and even if we don't recognize each other. It's a gift to have access to this awareness, like you do. I hope your past-life insights enrich your life and help you to heal and to help heal others in turn. Blessings.
