I appreciate the very balanced, non-fanatical approach here and the lack of judgment. I lost 20% of my body weight 6 years ago (for reasons I still can’t 100% pinpoint) and have kept it off since, maintaining very similar habits. So I think you’re on to something. ;)
Admittedly, I’d gained 25% of my weight years earlier, for reasons no specialist could understand — and even with healthy habits back then, nothing made a difference. In hindsight, I realize the problem was likely a supplement I’d been prescribed and how it influenced my microbiome. And even now, with the same healthy eating habits, if I take that supplement, my gut health shifts and I gain weight. So weight is definitely more than just a matter of habits… but for a system that’s in good working order? The habits you describe do seem to work well. :) Thank you for sharing!
