Honestly, I’d say that part of it is simply that, in those periods when I’m doing Morning Pages, life seems to… shimmer. It holds a lot more synchronicity. This enhances the sense that “all is interconnected,” which feeds into a feeling of destiny and the idea that my dreams are part of something bigger and, therefore, worth pursuing and investing in. Cameron has a mystical bent (as you might have noticed from reading her work), and she talks about things like synchronicity and psychic phenomena, the way that opening up to creative/creation energy (which she seems to construe as something divine, and which writing constitutes) can sort of switch people “on” to more magic in the everyday.
Of course, with the Morning Pages, there are also the added benefits of greater clarity, deeper processing of our own emotional landscape (for empowerment), and so on. But it’s nice that the process itself tends to come along with a lot of beautiful magic, even before the “big” payoffs like publishing or selling a pet project!
