First of all: kudos on your book's publication and on the fact that your proposal was so well put-together! I haven't written a book proposal yet, but I hear they are HARD to nail. More importantly, thank you for this essay. Manifestation has rarely seemed to work for me either, and my experiences have indeed led me into a deeper appreciation for divine serendipity. However, it was difficult to let myself off the hook for all the manifesting I was "failing" at years ago, especially with so many voices in the New Age community treating a lack of results as a sign of personal shortcomings. Your reminder that it won't always work that way is much needed for so many!
