Congratulations on your surgery, Sophia. I'm sorry it was such an unnecessarily difficult and painful road for you. I was shocked to read about the 1L of blood and fluids, and especially the fact that no surgeon would operate on you amidst this emergency — WHAAAAT?! That's outrageous, and I don't even know what to say.

Fwiw, getting implants at 21 (I'm cis but was correcting a congenital deformity that made me feel hopelessly worthless as a woman through my formative years and led to several shitty partner choices) is one of the best decisions I feel like I've ever made; in a way, I've often thought of correcting my intimate deformity as a sort of "gender-affirming" act as well; I have a lot of empathy for people who feel a gap between their bodies and their gender. I can only imagine how relieved and whole you must feel now, after waiting over 60 years for your breasts. It does take a while for all the internal swelling to go away so that you can feel comfortable wearing different bras, but the day will be here before you know it. :) Have lots of fun with lingerie and clothes shopping now, and may you and your girlfriend enjoy your new figure!
