Beautifully expressed, Ricky. I reached a point in my life where I realized that the most "miraculous" things in my life were the ones I was least inclined to talk about. Much of Western society is Christian-conditioned, and in Christianity, the holiest of holy items is stored in a box that no one is allowed to open, only a priest is allowed to dispense, only members of the same faith are allowed to enjoy, and every recipient must kneel before it and please over and over again out loud the words: "I'm not worthy." Not to mention that the congregants are given this item only in small doses and for a fleeting moment of any given day.

Something tells me that a lot of Western society has been poisoned by that idea — that the sacred is taboo, can only be embraced in small doses, and isn't really "for" us. I'm glad you've seen through the illusion. ;)
