Bahaha, I will attempt to explain this one: as a halfway-closeted mystic AND a language nerd, it makes my head do a double-take when these words aren't capitalized in particular spiritual contexts. It has to do with semantics. I think people (sometimes myself included) tend to capitalize them to set them apart from their more common uses, because when they're not capitalized, they just look like grammar flubs.

Probably not a relatable comprehension problem for people who don't speak this lingo, but that's what happens in my head. ;)
