Aw, that's sweet, Steven. Our "romantic friends" relationship stopped because he had to move to another country. We're ideal for each other in many ways, but we are also not ideal for each other in some important ways... which is probably why we were both okay with going back to being strictly platonic instead of trying to have a transnational romance. There was no fight or falling out, just a mutual sort of, "Well... I guess this can't continue." Regardless, ours is the best relationship I've ever had, and we are both deeply thankful for each other. In the future, if we're in the same place again, I can totally see us resuming what we had. :)
