Ah, very interesting! Thank you for sharing that. I wasn't sure why the article was presenting enemas as a thing that needed outside help.

Yes, I've self-administered. I don't do these often (like, maybe once every couple of YEARS), but I've used them sometimes in advance of gynecological exams (for the doctor to be able to palpate better) or in cases of extreme constipation when I didn't want to resort to laxatives. It's easy, VERY quick, doesn't leave intestinal upset in its aftermath (unlike laxatives, which do), and largely painless (if you have enough lube and once you find the right angle). You just need to be careful to hydrate properly before and after, though, since you're generally inserting a saline solution, and too much salt in your system can be very dangerous; the package instructions explain this. (None of what I'm saying is medical advice, btw! I'm just sharing what I remember from experience.)
