Agreed. Feminism — real feminism — is about equality. For everyone. Real feminism is not dismissive of men's legitimate concerns. Meanwhile, given that most of the world's gatekeepers have been male for such a long time, it stands to reason that if men want more resources for (for example) things like domestic violence shelters or PSA campaigns about male victims of sexual violence, they can absolutely organize (sanely) around such feminist causes. When there are so few male adherents of feminism, though, it makes little sense to ask the women — who are already carrying most of the burden and receiving all of the hate incurred by the feminist movement — to spread their own resources even thinner just to cater to men... makes little sense.
And yes, misogyny has existed since long before Tate, and long before feminism. Misogyny is not a consequence of feminism. It is a cause.
